Four out of nine from across Saudi Arabia of our students have been accepted into the highly competitive KAUST-ONT course on Nanopore DNA sequencing, a first-of-its-kind program in Saudi Arabia launched by KAUST in collaboration with Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT) Inc.
Mohamed Rajab, Saeed Almahri (PHD in Biomedical Sciences – Year 1), Mashael Alqahtani (MSc in Biomedical Sciences – Year 2), and Hibah Alruwaili (PhD in Biomedical Sciences – Provisionally accepted) has been awarded a full scholarship to attend this intensive two-week course, running from June 15 to June 26, 2025. The curriculum delves deeply into third-generation sequencing, a cutting-edge field in genomics research.
