May 28 – 31, 2026 Gdansk (Poland): The College of Pharmacy at Alfaisal University faculty and students participated in the European Society of Hypertension (ESH) Annual Meeting, held in Gdańsk, Poland, one of the world’s leading conferences dedicated to hypertension and cardiovascular medicine.
Dr. Ibrahim Salman, Associate Professor of Pharmacology and Physiology, delivered a talk entitled “Selective Renal Nerve Neuromodulation Produces Robust Antihypertensive Effects in Obesity-Induced Hypertension,” focused on innovative research in cardiovascular neuromodulation and hypertension treatment.
The College was also represented through a poster presentation entitled “Artificial Intelligence in Cardiovascular Physiology Assessment: A Blinded Comparison of AI- and Expert-Authored Questions,” conducted by our bright PharmD interns Ghada Dahman, Noura Jandali, and Hussam Alhamad, together with our teaching assistants Dr. Rahaf Yaseen, and Dr. Arwa Alhaj Issa, under the supervision of Dr. Ibrahim Salman and Dr. Omar Aladhami.
Representing the team at the conference, Hussam Alhamad presented the poster to an international audience of researchers and clinicians.
Beyond presenting their research, our representatives engaged with internationally recognized cardiologists, cardiovascular scientists, hypertension specialists, and cardiac surgeons, strengthening Alfaisal’s College of Pharmacy visibility within the global scientific community.
