Alfaisal University proudly announces the outstanding performance of its Alfaisal Formula Team at the Formula Student Competition in Australia. The team exhibited exceptional technical expertise and driving skills, making a strong mark on an international stage.
Mentored by Dr. Abdel Naser Daoud, Director of the Automotive Center, this year’s team featured mainly engineering students, alongside a driver from the College of Medicine and a team member from the College of Law and International Relations, reflecting the multidisciplinary talent within Alfaisal University.

The Formula Student Team members of 2025 are:
- Mohamad Fahad Abou Jeouid – Team Leader, College of Engineering and Advanced Computing (Mechanical Engineering).
- Wadee Feras Kharbat – Head of Drivers, College of Engineering and Advanced Computing (Software Engineering).
- Waleed Ibrahim Fallatah – Driver, College of Medicine.
- Talal Sultan Nugali – Driver, College of Law & International Studies.
- Sultan Majeed Bin Dayel – Driver, College of Engineering and Advanced Computing (Electrical Engineering).
- Majd Muhsen Younes – Head of the Engine Team, College of Engineering and Advanced Computing (Mechanical Engineering).
- Omar Mohamed Batran – Engine Team, College of Engineering and Advanced Computing (Mechanical Engineering).
- Mohammed Ahmed Abdelhadi – Engine Team, College of Engineering and Advanced Computing (Mechanical Engineering).
- Hussam Eldin Mohamed – Dynamics Team, College of Engineering and Advanced Computing (Electrical Engineering).
- Youssef Abdelrahman Sultan – Head of Public Relations, College of Engineering and Advanced Computing (Mechanical Engineering)
- Majd Shahwan – Business Team, College of Engineering and Advanced Computing (Software Engineering).
- Faiez Hejazi – Business Team, College of Engineering and Advanced Computing (Mechanical Engineering).

Participation was made possible in partnership with ROSHN, whose support contributed significantly to the team’s success.
The competition brought together 30 teams from Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, and Saudi Arabia, and Alfaisal Formula Team was the only team representing the Middle East. Out of all participants, only seven vehicles passed the Internal Combustion Inspection, with Alfaisal University proudly among them.
The team excelled in multiple challenges:
- Skidpan: 5th place
- Acceleration: 4th place
- Autocross: 3rd place

This achievement is especially meaningful for the team’s new members, who gained invaluable experience working alongside returning members and learning from their peers on an international stage. Their dedication, teamwork, and resilience were critical to these impressive results.

Dr. Abdel Naser Daoud, Director of the Automotive Center and team mentor, expressed his pride in the team’s strong performance and the positive impact of participating in a reputable international competition on the development of their skills.
