Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Alfaisal University is proud to announce a series of strategic partnerships facilitated by the Department of Family and Community Medicine. These collaborations are set to significantly enhance our community outreach and educational initiatives, reflecting our commitment to cultivating excellence in health education and community service.
The highlight of these collaborations is the upcoming signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Alfaisal University and Rofaida Women’s Health Organization, the first women’s health advocacy and empowerment group in Saudi Arabia. This historic event will be graced by Her Royal Highness Princess Moudhi bint Khalid bin Abdulaziz and Her Royal Highness Dr. Maha bint Mishari Al Saud, who will sign the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
This MoU aims to define a joint cooperation framework between the two parties to serve their common interests and goals, contributing to the public interest and aligning with the strategic goals of Vision 2030 as well as Sustainable Development Goal No. 3 (SDG3). The areas of cooperation include exchanging consultations and experiences in health education and awareness, holding conferences and events, conducting research and studies related to health and wellness, organizing awareness campaigns, and facilitating volunteer opportunities
This collaboration is particularly noteworthy for its emphasis on women’s health and empowerment. The Rofaida Women’s Health Organization will develop specialized awareness programs for women’s health in collaboration with Alfaisal University. This will engage students and faculty in Rofaida’s health campaigns, research initiatives, and innovation projects, thereby enhancing their educational experience and nurturing community engagement.
Under the leadership of Dr. Baraa Alghalyini, and supported by faculty members, the Department of Family and Community Medicine has played a pivotal role in facilitating various partnerships. The department’s efforts aim to enhance community engagement activities for the university, leveraging the strengths of both Alfaisal University and its partners to achieve shared goals.
In addition to the partnership with Rofaida, the Department of Family and Community Medicine has established successful collaborations with several other esteemed organizations, including:
